Fun Dog Show - Rules & Information

Join us at the Woolley Moor Show Fun Dog Show, proudly supported by Nourished Pets UK. Bring your four-legged friend along and enter one or more of our friendly classes, including Cutest Puppy, Handsome Boy, Prettiest Girl and Waggiest Tail. Entry costs £2 per class, with rosettes and prizes available. Whether your dog is a seasoned show star or joining in for the first time, everyone is welcome for a fun, relaxed and enjoyable part of the show.

Rules & Information

1. All dogs must be kept on a lead and under the control of a responsible adult or competent handler at all times.
2. Dogs must not be left unattended anywhere on the showground, including inside vehicles.
3. All dogs entered must be fit, healthy and in suitable condition to participate. Dogs showing signs of illness, injury, distress or infectious disease must not attend.
4. Puppies must have had all vaccinations to enter.
5. Dogs should be fully vaccinated, with vaccinations kept up to date. Owners are responsible for ensuring their dogs are suitably protected before attending.
6. Dogs showing aggressive, threatening or uncontrollable behaviour may be asked to leave the showground. The safety and welfare of dogs, handlers, visitors and organisers must come first.
7. Owners and handlers are responsible for their dogs at all times and must clean up after them. Please use the bins provided.
8. Dogs must not be handled in a harsh, intimidating or inappropriate manner. The welfare of every dog is the priority.
9. Fresh drinking water should be available to all dogs. Owners should ensure their dogs have adequate rest and shade, particularly during warm weather.
10. Dogs must never be left in a vehicle. The organisers reserve the right to take appropriate action if a dog is believed to be in distress.
11. Entry fees must be paid before entering the judging ring. Entry fees are non-refundable unless a class is cancelled by the organisers.
12. Handlers must report to the judging ring when their class is called. Late arrivals may not be permitted to enter once judging has started.
13. The judge’s decision is final. Please respect the judge, stewards, volunteers and other competitors.
14. Any objections or concerns should be raised calmly with the show organiser and not directly with the judge during judging.
15. Rosettes and prizes will be awarded as advertised by the organisers. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash unless otherwise stated.
16. Children handling dogs must be supervised by a responsible adult. The supervising adult remains responsible for both the child and the dog.
17. Owners and handlers participate at their own risk and are responsible for the behaviour and welfare of their dogs.
18. The organisers cannot accept responsibility for any loss, theft, damage, injury, accident or illness involving persons, dogs, vehicles or property.
19. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, remove a dog or participant, amend classes, change the timetable, replace a judge, or cancel the event when necessary.
20. By entering the show, owners and handlers confirm that they have read, understood and agreed to follow these rules.
